Maine Dayboat Scallops are caught by local fishermen and landed on the same day they are caught. The vast majority of scallops are caught by longer-trip vessels and either frozen at sea or treated with preservatives.
Dayboat scallops are ocean-fresh. They have never been frozen or treated with preservatives.
Our dayboat scallops are harvested by small boats/operations like the one pictured above. This shot is of Captain Craig Stewart (left) and his crew of the Carl & Co. Craig has been lobstering and scalloping out of Long Island in Casco Bay, Maine for more than 40 years!
