Ordering Online

Can I cancel or change my order?

Please contact us at sales@soposeafood.com if you wish to change or cancel your order. A request for a change must be made before 8 AM EST the day the order is set to ship. For example, if you have requested a Wednesday delivery, you must contact us before Monday 8 AM EST to let us know about the change.

We will do our best to accomodate your request.

What if I want to speak to someone?

The best way to get in contact with us is by emailing us at sales@soposeafood.com. If you are contacting us regarding an existing order, please include your order number in the email.

Shipping

Where do you offer shipping?

We ship within the continental United States only. International orders are not available.

Where do you ship from?

We ship from our facility on Holyoke Wharf in Portland, Maine. Your order is prepared and packed at our facility. We then use UPS overnight service to get it from the wharf to your door.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We offer overnight delivery Tuesday through Friday. Please order by 8 AM for next-day overnight delivery. Future delivery dates can be selected at checkout.

How to track your order?

You will be sent a UPS tracking number on the day your order ships. This will typically occur around 5-6 PM EST.

How is your seafood packed for shipping?

Your order will be packed in an insulated box with frozen gel packs. Our packing process ensures your order will stay at an optimal cold temperature.

Can I select a future delivery date?

You can select a custom delivery date at checkout.

Can I include a gift message with my order?

Yes, there is a space at checkout for you to write a gift card message.

Seafood Care & Storage

Receiving and storing your seafood.

When you open your package, the gel packs should be mostly frozen, and your seafood should be nice and cold. If you have fresh items, place them in the fridge immediately. Eat or freeze these items within a few days for the optimal experience.

If you have ordered frozen items, it is normal for these items to have thawed a little in transit. Place your frozen items in the freezer if you want to keep them frozen. Alternatively, place them in the fridge to complete a slow defrosting process.

Can I freeze your fresh seafood?

Most of our fresh seafood can be frozen. Fresh seafood such as our fresh Haddock, Cod, Salmon, Lobster Meat, and Crab Meat can all be frozen.

We do not recommend freezing the following options because of the adverse effect on quality:

  • Our caviar and roe
  • Sea urchin roe (uni)
  • Ahi or Bluefin Tuna/Toro
  • Live Oysters must not be frozen.

Returns and Refunds

Can I return my order?

Our goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your order and experience using SoPo Seafood. Since our products are highly perishable, we do not accept any returns. That said, if there is any part of your order or our service that you are not happy with, please contact us immediately via our email sales@soposeafood.com. We will do our best to work with you to find a solution you are happy with.
